TReeBee® references

Tectronic GmbH is a medium-sized electronic company located in Senden (Germany). They have accumulated several years of experience in manufacturing high-quality electronic assemblies and devices. Best service for the creation of technically demanding assemblies and devices are offered to their clients, from development coordination to the complete production and a qualified end-check.

According to their business philosophy, they always try to improve their product quality and to optimize the production processes.
In order to strengthen their internal quality management they have approached TFK to assist them with a flexible, wireless based sensor solution to quickly set up a network of sensors for the supervision of key parameters within their production facility. The sensor data are also logged in a data base that allows for a strict analysis of the production environment, but also enables a seemless documentation of these aspects especially during sensitive production steps.
The internal quality management system is certified acc. DIN EN ISO 9001 and DIN EN ISO 13485 and can take further advantage of the TReeBee sensor data.
In the technical concept different TReeBee® Field Units (TRFU-wireless sensor devices) are positioned within the production facility at relevant places to analyze the conditions of a production step. The sensor data are transmitted periodically to a central control node (TRMU), taking advantage of  the flexible system architecture, where each field unit can be used also as a kind of router to extend the radio coverage zone for the overall production site.

Beside their individual device identification number, each TRFU automatically reports the information of internal and external sensors to a node/central control. The left chart shows a rough architecture of the system concept.

For this project multiple field units with the internal and external sensors for temperature, humidity and power conditions have been mounted at fixed positions. But also "mobile" field units can be quicky implemented at interesting positions for particular demands. Due to the available standard interfaces of the TReeBee® Field Unit devices, many different sensors can be connected to the system concept to capture further production parameters (e.g. pressure values, air and chemical composition, fluid levels, assembly line speed, soldering temperture, etc.). For each of the sensors and values individual limits can be defined, which either automatically initiate relevant procedures, or inform a responsible person about this status.
This flexibility, the rapid sensor deployment and the negligible installation effort during system setup has been seen as main aspects to choose the TReeBee® solution for this production application.
The next picture shows an example of an installed TRFU in a storage room of Tectronic.
