Multihop Long Range Configuration
The system inherent multihop feature of TReeBee® enables to set up a network of multiple Field Units, where each of them is connected with its adjacent neighbour units in a chain. So each of them act as a kind of router to forward data messages to and from the Master Unit (TRMU).
Such a function is even supporting chain scenarios with up to 30 wireless transmissions (hops) between the Master Unit and the last Field Unit at the end of a branch.
If necessary for an application to extend the radio ranges between the Master Unit and the relevant sensor device (TRFU), some Field Units may be used as routers only, without any own sensor function.
So, the maximum radio range might be up to 30 times the radio range of a Field Unit.
