TRainCom^® radio transceivers are the core elements of each radio base station (RBS), further comprising a connection box (for backbone interfacing and power supply purposes), antenna mountings and radio antennas. The radio base stations are positioned alongside a metro track in a way to guarantee complete radio coverage of the entire track network. Thus, the principal positioning of an individual RBS is part of radio planning procedure that considers the radio propagation aspects of this rail environment.
