TELEFUNKEN has implemented a 4-level maintenance concept for
TRainCom® to meet individual customer maintenance demands. Within this
frame, the customer is able to define the suitable provisions according
to its operational concept to safely maintain the radio system.
TELEFUNKEN develops and manufactures all core radio components itself.
Therefore there is no dependency on the availability of specific
hardware components from public markets that might come and go due to
purely commercial or “fashion” reasons.
Moreover TELEFUNKEN is able to adapt its radio components also
with respect to obsolete devices that are very likely over a long
system life and to guarantee long- term spare part support based on
Form-Fit-Function principles and at reasonable prices. This provision fits well with the demands of railway and urban
transportation markets for continued system support of more than 10
