TRainCom®
The TRainCom® technology was designed and developed for new and
innovative radio communication solutions supporting data services in
rail applications even up to ultra-high-speed Transrapid MAGLEV
trains. Today TRainCom® is the brand name of TELEFUNKEN’s product
family of high- performance broadband radio systems for use in all
kinds of rail applications.
The scalable system structure and architecture makes TRainCom® radio systems adaptable to all train systems – trams, light rail vehicles, metros, high speed trains and maglev trains – with velocities up to 600 km/h without any performance degradation, even in tunnels. An innovative system concept and a high transmission quality with data rates of up to 32 Mbps allows an integration of multiple communication services in a broadband environment. This not only improves operational aspects and passenger comfort, but could also revolutionize data transmission technology in the railway sector.
